Manic Pixie Science Girl is a singer/songwriter based in San Francisco.

She started performing in singing competitions at age 8, and by age 17 have written over 50 unpublished songs. Although she was classically trained in piano, her favorite instruments are voice and ukulele. Today, she is a biotechnologist, after earning a PhD in chemical biology. Her love for science outreach led her to writing science love song - which she describes as not songs about science, but love songs with science analogies.

Her musical influences include Ingrid Michaelson, Sia, Regina Spector, Meiko, Do As Infinity, Utada Hikaru, Sakamoto Maaya, Tsukiko Amano, Imogen Heap, Michelle Branch, Ellie Golding, Foxes, Lights, Company of Thieves, and many more.
